Joseph S. Dillon, MBA, CLP

Joseph S. Dillon is Senior Vice President, Head of Corporate Development Services for The Mattson Jack Group. Mr. Dillon is a seasoned pharmaceutical executive with over 20 years of experience. He has extensive experience in global pharmaceutical business development, planning and analysis, corporate finance, M&A, licensing, and technology valuations. Prior to joining MJG, Mr. Dillon was CFO and interim CEO, President, and Director of The Pharmaceutical Development Center, a pharmaceutical developer and manufacturer. His previous positions include President of Dillon Technologies, Inc., a pharmaceutical consulting firm; EVP and CFO of Vail Banks, Inc., a publicly held multi-bank holding company, COO and later CFO, Secretary and Treasurer of Oread Inc., a contract pharmaceutical developer and manufacturer; and various planning and corporate development positions with the predecessor companies of Sanofi-Aventis.

Mr. Dillon is an active Licensing Executives Society member and is often an invited speaker at pharmaceutical industry meetings. He holds an M.B.A. and a Bachelor’s in Finance.

Patrick J. Farley, J.D., Ph.D.
Senior Patent Counsel
Genentech, Inc.

In January of 2008, Patrick joined Genentech Inc. as Senior Patent Counsel, where he advises the company on Patent Prosecution and licensing matters.  Prior to joining Genentech, Patrick was a Partner in the Philadelphia Office of Blank Rome, LLP, specializing in patent prosecution, validity and freedom to operate opinions, and licensing.  Patrick's technical experience covers a broad range of biological and chemical fields including molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, biological assays, transgenic animals and plants, molecular and immunologic therapies, and pharmaceuticals.

During his career, Patrick has been an Associate with Woodcock Washburn LLP, an Executive Director of Intellectual Property at a Philadelphia area Biotechnology start-up company, an Adjunct Professor of Law at the James E. Beasley School of Law of Temple University, and has also been a guest lecturer on "Patents and Biotechnology" in the Graduate Program in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology at Hahnemann University.  Patrick has also served on the Board of Directors of Temple University Law School Alumni Association and the Board of Directors of the Drexel College of Medicine Alumni Association.

Patrick graduated magna cum laude from Temple University Law School.  He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at Hahnemann University, his M.S. in Parasitology from the University of Pennsylvania, and his B.A. in Biology from Hamilton College.

Patrick holds bar and court memberships in the Pennsylvania Bar; New Jersey Bar; U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania; and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  He is also a member of the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association and a frequent faculty member for the Licensing Executives Society’s Professional Development Series courses.

Kenneth Krisko, J.D.

Kenneth Krisko is a partner in the Cooley Godward Kronish Business department. He joined the Firm in 2000 and is resident in the Reston office.

Mr. Krisko’s practice focuses on the representation of public and private life sciences companies in a broad range of commercial and corporate finance matters.  He advises clients regularly with respect to complex commercial transactions designed to maximize the value of pharmaceutical products and technology assets, including technology licenses and acquisitions, research and development collaborations, distribution and manufacturing agreements, and profit-sharing and co-promotion arrangements.

Mr. Krisko also regularly counsels clients on a wide array of corporate and securities matters, including spin-outs, private financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and corporate governance.  He works closely with his clients to understand each client’s business and strategic objectives and to structure and negotiate transactions to meet those objectives.

Mr. Krisko has been a guest speaker on strategic partnering and corporate issues affecting life sciences companies at various conferences.  Mr. Krisko also is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center where he teaches a course on emerging company legal issues and venture capital finance.

Mr. Krisko received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1995, where he was a member of the Virginia Law Review.  Mr. Krisko received a B.S. in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1987.

Prior to joining Cooley, Mr. Krisko was an associate with Wiley, Rein & Fielding in Washington, D.C.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. Krisko worked as an engineer for the Department of the Navy.

Lesley Stolz, Ph.D.

Lesley A. Stolz, Ph.D. joined Sunesis in 2007 with more than a decade of biotechnology industry experience. Most recently, she served as Senior Director, Business Development for Aerovance, Inc. where she led efforts to partner the company's Phase 2 asset for uncontrolled asthma.

Dr. Stolz was Senior Director, Business Development for GPC Biotech AG of Germany from 2002 to 2006 where she co-led the acquisition of Axxima Pharmaceuticals. From 2001 to 2002, Dr. Stolz served as Director, Business Development for Cell Genesys, Inc. with responsibility for identifying and negotiating partnerships for the company's cancer therapy research and development programs. Dr. Stolz received her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from the University of Rochester and a B.S. from the University of Virginia. She conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School's Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology.
