About the Panelists

Ed Trimble is Chief Executive Officer of SparkIP. Prior to SparkIP, Trimble was the CEO and founder of EzGov Inc., a multi-national e-government solutions provider for central, regional and local government agencies. His past experience also includes working with Accenture, HNC Software and Interarch Technologies. Trimble has been recognized as Ernst & Young's SE Technology Entrepreneur of the Year, Duke Pratt Engineering School's Distinguised Young Alumnus, Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year Finalist, and he was also CEO of EzGov when it received recognition on the Forbes Top 10 Hottest Companies list in 2003. Trimble holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University.

Stacy Olkowski is a Thomson Reuters product specialist, working with patent and scientific literature databases. She has been with the Company for six years. Previously she was a business reference librarian at the University of Chicago. She received her undergraduate degree from The American University in Washington DC, and her MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh. Stacy trains employees of Fortune 100 companies and collaborates with licensing, legal and R&D departments on incorporating patent research tools to better maximize their IP portfolios and licensing opportunities.

Paul Frey is President and CEO of Search Technology, Inc. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering from Auburn University.  Before joining Search Technology, he was a member of the engineering staff at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.  He joined Search Technology in 1983 as a member of the technical staff and served in many technical and managerial roles before becoming CEO in 2002.  From 1996-2005 he was Program Manager and Co-Principal Investigator on a series of R&D programs developing analytical tools for technology management, building what has become VantagePoint, the core of Search’s business since 2000.
