Connecticut Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society

May 21, 2008
6:30PM - 9:30PM

Panel Discussion:

Burning Intellectual Property Issues of 2008:
Patent Reform and Why it Was Blocked in Court &
Supreme Court Rulings of 2007 and their Effects in 2008 and Beyond

Over the past few years, the U.S. Supreme Court has broken with longstanding Federal Circuit precedent in several areas of U.S. patent law. As a result, assumptions on IP protections have become more uncertain and more subject to challenge. What does this mean for the future of licensing?

Hear from expert IP lawyers on how the recent U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Virginia decision on Tafas v. Dudas may impact USPTO rules on patenting and licensing strategies.

This will be an interactive panel discussion, so bring your colleagues and questions
