Panelist Biographies
Charlie Humphreyson - HO2 Partners
Charlie Humphreyson is a General Partner at HO2 Partners, specializing in technology venture investing.
Prior to co-founding HO2, Mr. Humphreyson co-founded Contact Software (the developer of the ACT!
contact management system) where he helped develop the program code for ACT!, created the ACT!
Certified Consultant distribution channel and served in several capacities. Along with other investors,
HO2 is an investor in GlobeRanger.
George Brody - GlobeRanger Corporation
George Brody brings more than 26 years of high technology experience to GlobeRanger. Prior to cofounding
GlobeRanger, he was vice president and general manager of Nortel's Wireless Network
Solutions and has extensive experience in the management of digital technology for mobile
communications systems. Mr. Brody was Chief Executive Officer and President of GlobeRanger from its
inception until he assumed his current position in January 2002.
Bart Showalter - Baker Botts, LLP
Bart Showalter's practice includes all aspects of intellectual property law, with a particular emphasis on
patent litigation, patent procurement and licensing in electronics, telecommunications and software. Mr.
Showalter provides strategic counsel to clients in a number of areas, including computer software,
semiconductor devices, optical systems, data networks, wireless infrastructure, transmission systems,
medical devices, graphics processors, military and commercial aircraft, automated industrial equipment,
and many other technologies.
