Speaker Biography:
Larry Bassuk – Texas Instruments

Larry Bassuk is a Senior Patent Counsel with Texas Instruments Incorporated. He joined TI in 1988 from private practice in Chicago, Illinois. After earning a degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University he worked as a microelectronics design engineer for Teletype Corporation. He earned his law degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law and went into private practice in a small, general practice firm. After passing the patent agent's exam, he worked successively in two patent law firms in Chicago. He has been through three full bench patent trials and an appeal to the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Larry specializes in patent prosecution, and in particular, obtaining patents for use in TI's licensing programs. Texas Instruments named Larry Trademark and Copyright Counsel in January 2000 and Standards Counsel in 2004.
