Licensing Law Implications of eBay and Quanta
With intellectual property rights under siege, licensing professionals need to understand the ramifications of various substantive changes occurring in the profession. For example, eBay's Limitations on Injunctive Relief, as interpreted by the Supreme court and the Federal Circuit; open questions raised by Quanta concerning "international exhaustion" and the patentee’s right to restrict purchasers of a "living" invention to sell progeny embodiments; and other questions will be addressed in this lively discussion.
