Topic:
Patent Law Reform 2008: Down to the Wire
Hal Wegner will discuss various critical issues in the ongoing dispute over
patent law reform. His topics will include the practical impact
of the proposed continuation rules on intellectual property practitioners
and their clients, and how clients and licensing professionals should begin
adapting to the changing landscape. He will also address the proposed statutory
substantive rulemaking authority sought by the Patent Office in the recent
Glaxo challenge, which although unsuccessful remains a part of the current
Senate Bill now in Congress. As usual, Mr. Wegner will provide a lively
and informative synopsis of what the patent world faces with the changes from Congress,
the Patent Office and the Supreme Court.
