Background:
Perry Kinkaide claims to have "sorta retired." But
his career in change management may just be gearing up. As founder and
President of the new Alberta Chamber of Technologies and local Chapters, Perry is
passionate and convincing in his premise that the world is on the verge
of a technological revolution that will bring unfathomable wealth to the
enterprising and innovative, but not without risk. Change will be
so rapid, and so profound, as to outstretch the capacity of our trusted institutions
to accommodate the impact and the rate of change.Hence
the paradox of the Chamber: on one hand, to champion Community Enterprise
and serve as a voice for technology interests, while on the other, to shape
public policy, education and debate in response to profound warnings.
