Technology transfer and licensing activities are a small part of a larger context – that of developing technology clusters in our local economy. Please join us in a discussion with EEDC’s Neil Kaarsemaker on key activities of the Edmonton Economic Development Corporation to foster cluster development.
Bio:
Neil Kaarsemaker is currently Director of Industry and Cluster Development for Edmonton Economic Development ( EEDC). Neil has been with EEDC for two years, assuming the role of Director in September of 2007. Prior to assuming the Director role Neil was a Manager in EEDC’s cluster team responsible for the sectors of Information and Communication Technology as well as Biotechnology. Neil brings over 20 years of leadership and business relationship development experience in the areas of personal and business financial management with Royal Bank of Canada and ATB Financial. Mr. Kaarsemaker also worked for 4 years as Director of Development for an Edmonton faith-based University-College.
