"Raising Capital: Corporate and Securities Law Considerations""

Jason Marino will present a brief synopsis of corporate and securities law issues for early-stage companies preparing to raise capital, with a focus on securities law exemptions available for raising capital by way of private placements.

Background:
Jason Marino advises domestic and international clients, including public and private companies, investment dealers, private equity firms and banks, on a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters, with an emphasis in securities, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and corporate governance.

Jason has in-depth experience in corporate structures and restructurings involving offshore entities. His experience includes asset and share acquisitions and dispositions, amalgamations, takeover bids, public and private equity and debt financings, group reorganizations and general commercial transactions. Jason holds a BComm and LLB from the University of Alberta, and has been called to the bar in Alberta and Bermuda.
