Private
Tour of the Bioscience Research Building
Dedicated just this past September, the new Bioscience Research Building
has 68,000 square feet of laboratory space to meet the needs of 33 faculty-led
research groups. With two Biosafety Level-3 labs, a 475-seat lecture
hall and conference rooms for teaching and professional meetings, each
of the four levels of the building is dedicated to a different area of
research: plant molecular and cell biology on the ground floor; neuroscience
on the first floor; genomics on the second floor; and host-pathogen interactions
on the third floor. Associate Dean Robert Infantino has graciously
offered to be our guide for a private tour of the facility immediately
prior to the start of the meeting.
