Bring your holiday cheer and join friends and colleagues for the MD/DC Joint Holiday Event at the Historic Savage Mill Manor. This event should prove to be a very special night as J. Gregory Townsend, Associate Director, Commercial Development in DuPont's Intellectual Assets and Licensing Department will share his experience in growing DuPont's licensing business and offer specific examples from their end-user licensing program for the OncoMouse® technology which has found broad commercial interest in current oncology drug discovery and development.

Speaker Introduction:
Greg recently assumed responsibility for Finance and Planning in DuPont's Growth Initiatives Strategic Business Unit, which includes DuPont's technology licensing business and corporate new ventures group. Prior to his current role, he was Associate Director of DuPont's Intellectual Assets and Licensing Business, handling outlicensing of technologies to pharmaceutical and biotech companies. He joined DuPont's licensing business during its formation in 1999 as Financial Manager, following over ten years of diverse assignments in product management, business finance and planning with DuPont's Packaging and Industrial Polymers businesses, including elastomers, vinyls, and ethylene copolymers. His experience prior to DuPont includes business roles at Air Products and Chemicals and process research and development at Sunoco. He holds BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and Carnegie-Mellon University, and he earned an MBA degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

The Historic Savage Mill Manor is a beautiful Victorian home located near the Savage Mill Antiques Mall. It will be dressed up for the holidays, so as to get us all in the holiday spirit.

5.30 - 6:30 pm - Social Hour
6:30 - 7:30 pm - Presentation and Q&A session
7:30 - 8:30 pm - Coffee and Dessert

$50.00 after December 10 and at-the-door
Cancellations made after close-of-business December 10 cannot be reimbursed, but substitutions are welcome!
