Joint Holiday Meeting of the Greater Washington, DC and Maryland Local Chapters
December 14, 2005
at
Johns Hopkins University, Montgomery County Campus
Academic and Research Building, Room 106
Rockville, MD 20850 6:00 - 8:30 pm
The dust has settled a bit since the Supreme Court's Merck opinion earlier this year and there has been some time for reflection on the true impact of the Supreme Court's 9-0 opinion on the biotechnology and research tools industries. We are delighted to have Dr. Cathryn Campbell, who will share her insights in this regard. Although the Supreme Court indicated it was not addressing the research tool issue per se, the arguments in the briefs of the parties and the amici nonetheless suggest considerations which may affect the research tools industries in the near future. This joint meeting of the Greater Washington, DC and LES Maryland Local Chapters will be held on the evening of December 14, 2005 .
