The Minnesota Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society invites you and your colleagues to our January monthly meeting. The licensing of trademarks will be the topic for the January 2005 LES meeting.

Our speakers will include:

• Teresa Schantzen, Business Development Manager for the Strategic Intellectual Asset Management group (SIAM) at 3M. Her presentation will highlight examples of how 3M is leveraging company technology and a key strategic brand (Scotchgard brand Protection) to enter markets with licensing partners.
• Kari J. Wangensteen, Director and Senior Corporate Counsel at Best Buy Co., Inc.. Kari has been leading the companyÕs intellectual property and advertising and marketing legal teams in an industry that proves to be extremely competitive and ever changing. Her presentation will focus on the legal concerns when licensing trademarks.

Cost/Payments: The cost for the meeting will be $35.00 per person and will include lunch and the program.
