Upcoming Event at the Minnesota Chapter:
Chapter Homepage
Topic:
University/Company Intellectual Property Agreements
Join us on Tuesday, September 14 for a reprise of our well-received meeting of last February on this topic. We'll begin with a networking luncheon, after which our panel will engage in a "debate" dealing with several issues that repeatedly come up as obstacles during negotiations between companies and universities and that were not addressed at the February meeting. Panelists will be one company representative and one university representative. Each will briefly explain their perspectives on an issue, and each will also have an opportunity for rebuttal and to offer suggested solutions that can lead to win-win agreements. The winner of the debate will be the attendees, who will not only learn effective ways to circumvent negotiation bottlenecks and reach agreement, but will also be able to offer their own rebuttal and/or solutions. You don't need to be an LES member to attend. This meeting is open to anyone who is interested in a great networking opportunity and the topic to be discussed.
