PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
G. Marie Talnack-Moffett will examine the critical events, motivations, and organizational differences affecting the donation of corporate patents to universities and other non-profit research organizations.

SPEAKER:  G. MARIE TALNACK-MOFFETT
G. Marie-Talnack-Moffett is currently a doctorate student at the University of Southern California’s School of Policy and Planning.  She will be presenting results of her research on patent donations to those interested in how to donate and how to commercialize what is donated.  This research covers 2001-2008 including the recently passed JOBS Act and how it applies to patent donations.  She has worked for the past 25 years in technology commercialization for research universities, federal research laboratories, and her own consulting firm here in Orange County, California.
