ANNOUNCING
The Licensing Executives Society
Oregon/SW Washington Chapter
Inaugural Meeting
Thursday, November 16, 2006
The Oregon/SW Washington Chapter of LES cordially invites you to attend its
inaugural meeting. As the Silicon Forest grows, so do the opportunities
around the IP grown in this region. The formation of an active chapter
will benefit everyone involved in the research, development, manufacture, use,
licensing, marketing, and management of intellectual property assets.
Talent, tools, knowledge and relationships are what we offer. LES
Oregon/SW Washington will bring these elements together to create a vibrant
and interactive community for all interested parties.
To celebrate the launch of our regional chapter, Russell Parr,
an internationally recognized expert in the field of intellectual property
and intangible asset valuation, will be the keynote speaker. Mr. Parr
will deliver a presentation on how to establish real-world royalty rates. This
misunderstood topic is a key driver in enabling IP transactions, withstanding
regulatory and tax scrutiny, and handling litigation issues. Anyone interested
in attaining a next-level understanding of IP valuation will not want to miss
this rare opportunity to hear one of the foundational thinkers in this field.
About Russell Parr:
Mr. Parr holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Rutgers
University. He founded the Licensing Economics Review and is President of Intellectual
Property Research Associates, Inc. (IPRA). He has conducted valuation and royalty

process technology, lasers, agricultural formulations, biotechnology, computer
software and medical products technology, and others. Mr. Parr was retained
to value the Dr. Seuss copyrights and the AT&T patent portfolio. Additionally,
he is a featured speaker in various countries under the sponsorship of the
