Research Triangle Park Chapter Prior Event RTP – LES UPCOMING EVENT The Research Triangle Park Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society invites you to join us for our upcoming March lunch meeting. DATE: Tuesday, March 14, 2006 TIME: 11:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Registration, Networking, and Appetizers LOCATION: Maggiano’s Restaurant – Streets of SouthPoint Mall, Durham SPEAKER: Ian J. Mehr, Ph.D. – Vice President of Business Development, Qualyst, Inc. Dr. Mehr has more than a decade of experience in the life science industry, spanning both research and business development. Dr. Mehr joined Qualyst as Senior Director of Business Development. Previously, Dr. Mehr was founder and President of Dianoetica, Inc., a life science business development consultancy serving the needs of entrepreneurial biotechnology companies. Dr. Mehr has also held responsibility for business development at Paradigm Genetics, Inc. and Laboratory Corporation of America, where he leveraged platform technologies for collaborative applications in drug discovery and development research. Dr. Mehr received his Ph.D. in molecular biology at Northwestern University’s Medical Center, and his MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management. TOPIC: Dr. Mehr will discuss the licensing of platform technologies to Big Pharma in the post-genomics era. ADMISSION: Early registration fee of $25.00 through March 10th. Registration fee increases to $30.00 for registrations received after March 10th. Seating is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis. Registration fee includes lunch.
