TITLE “Handling Those Pesky FDA Issues in Your Licensing Agreements”
SPEAKER: Marc H. Shapiro, Esq., the managing director of the Durham, North Carolina office of the Hyman, Phelps & McNamara, P.C. law firm. Mr. Shapiro has been engaged in the practice of food and drug law since 1975, both as in-house and outside counsel, including positions within Glaxo Inc. and Glaxo Wellcome as Director, Federal Agency Relations, Associate General Counsel and Head of the Legal Department’s FDA Regulatory Section. He has also served as the Chairman of the FDA Regulatory Law Focus Group of the Law Section of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association. In addition to his current law practice, Mr. Shapiro holds an appointment as Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke University School of Law where he teaches a course in Food and Drug Law.
