SPEAKER:
Mark G. Bloom - VP/Projects & Consulting for Business Success Strategists,
LLC
After receiving his B.S. from The Ohio State University in 1984, Mark worked
in sales and marketing for the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Following
his graduation from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1992, Mark served in a variety
of legal environments of increasing responsibility, eventually attaining the
position of Associate General Counsel and Chief IP Counsel, Cleveland Clinic
Innovations, for Cleveland Clinic. Mark is admitted to three state bars, numerous
federal courts of appeal, and the USPTO. From 2002-2005, Mark represented
the United States via the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) to
the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as a member
of the "Expert Group on Best Practice Guidelines for the Licensing
of Genetic Inventions." Mark also serves on the Editorial
Board of the AIPLA Quarterly Journal (2006-2009 Term) and the Editorial
Advisory Board of the AUTM Journal (2006-2009 Term). In 2005,
Mark was awarded the 2005 LES Deal of Distinction Award in the Industry/University
and Government Laboratory Transactions Sector for the "Orthopaedic Operating
Room of the Future Project" between Cleveland Clinic and Stryker Corporation. In
2006, Mark was elected to both the Executive Committee of the LES Healthcare
Industry Sector and to the Co-Chairmanship of the LES Joint Biomedical Device
Committee.
ADMISSION:
Early registration fee of $25.00 through April 19th. Registration
fee increases to $30.00 for registrations received after April 19th. Seating
is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis. Registration

CANCELLATIONS:
LES is required to provide the number of registrants to the meeting venue at
the time of the registration deadline and guarantee payment for each registrant. For
this reason, refunds or credits can only be provided to registrants who provide
notice of cancellation prior to the registration deadline stated above. This
policy applies to registrants requesting delayed payment at the door (by check)
as well as those registered online in advance.
LES Research Triangle Park is a local chapter of the Licensing Executives
Society (LES). We gather together professionals who engage in managing,
valuing and licensing technology. You may participate in our chapter’s
