Research Triangle Park Chapter Prior Event
The Research Triangle Park Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society invites you to join us for our upcoming May lunch meeting. DATE: Monday, May 15, 2006 TIME: 11:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Registration, Networking and Appetizers LOCATION: Maggiano’s Restaurant – Streets of SouthPoint Mall, Durham TITLE: “Corporate Incubation, an Alternative Strategy for Life Science Investment” Mr. Lauritano is Director, Business Development for BD Technologies, the corporate research center of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company). He joined the firm in 2003 and directs a team of business development professionals responsible for technology development and management in the fields of drug delivery, biosensors and cell engineering. He is also responsible for managing BD’s life science incubator, established in 1999 in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, to foster partnership with innovative companies emerging from local and regional academic centers. Mr. Lauritano has more than 28 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Prior to joining BD Technologies, he held executive business development positions at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Icagen and D-Pharm Ltd. Mr. Lauritano’s career was launched at Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals where he served in senior clinical, marketing and business development positions in the US, Europe and Japan. He has published widely in the field of diabetes and received an MSc Pharmacology from Rutgers University. ADMISSION: Early registration fee of $25.00 through May 10th. Registration fee increases to $30.00 for registrations received after May 10th. Seating is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis. Registration fee includes lunch. CANCELLATIONS: LES is required to provide the number of registrants to the meeting venue at the time of the registration deadline and guarantee payment for each registrant. For this reason, refunds or credits can only be provided to registrants who provide notice of cancellation prior to the registration deadline stated above. This policy applies to registrants requesting delayed payment at the door (by check) as well as those registered online in advance.
