Welcome to the San Diego Chapter! Upcoming Events | Prior Events Licensing is a key strategy of many of San Diego’s technology-based companies. As one of the world’s most important technology centers, San Diego’s life sciences and high tech clusters gather talent from industry, universities, research institutes and the service professions all seeking highly informative educational opportunities on different aspects of licensing. The San Diego Chapter of LES, in following the mission of LES as a whole, holds monthly meetings where expert speakers are brought in to address licensing-related issues important to all industries. The meetings also emphasize networking, the other LES mission. Our Chapter holds one or two purely social events each year. The meetings are open to anyone, though non-LES members pay a slightly higher price. Copies of the presentations are posted on the Chapter's LES website, and contact information is provided to everyone willing to participate in the exchange following each meeting. Most sessions qualify for one hour of Continuing Legal Education credit for attorneys. Membership is a very reasonable $225 per year which qualifies you for the lower local meeting rates as well as substantial discounts on registration for the LES Seasonal and Annual Meetings.
