Technology Standards and Their Impact on Valuation and Licensing Revenues

FEATURED PANELISTS:

Marty Foltyn – Moderator  BitSprings Systems
Ron Katznelson -   Founder Broadband Innovations, Inc.
Howard Asher - Life Sciences Information Technology Institute
Dave Kemper - IBM Software Americas

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Having your company’s technology adopted as an industry standard can catapult the potential value and success of your company from a struggling start up to a Fortune 100. Companies like Qualcomm and others built incredibly successful businesses by carefully protecting their intellectual property, successfully lobbying the standards bodies to adopt their technology as an industry standard and then setting up licensing toll booths to fund further development, lobbying, protection and growth. Join our distinguished panel for a timely discussion of how companies manage to get their technology adopted as standards in an industry, how standards bodies operate, how to challenge companies who are successful at getting their technology adopted and the impact these issues can have on company valuation and licensing revenues.
