About the Speakers:
Weston Anson, Chairman
Mr. Anson is a seasoned licensing and marketing professional with a long history of successful programs at firms such as Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Playboy Enterprises and Hang Ten International. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (honors) from Harvard University and is active in all of the major international trademark and intellectual property associations as a speaker and an officer. Wes is a prolific author on the subject of licensing and intellectual property and has published over 100 articles in the United States and overseas. Since founding his intellectual property consultancy over twenty years ago, Wes has constructed and implemented numerous licensing programs for major corporations and has performed valuations of hundreds of intellectual property components.
Daryl Martin, Vice President
Mr. Martin heads up the valuation division for CONSOR® Intellectual Asset Management, responsible for analyzing all types of intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade secrets, domain names, mailing lists and customer databases. With over 10 years of financial analysis and valuation experience, Mr. Martin has an extensive background in valuing assets for the purpose of loan securitization, acquisition/mergers, joint ventures, licensing transactions, transfer pricing, litigation support and bankruptcy filings.
His past experience includes acting as Senior Financial Analyst for ConAm Management, a real estate investment company, where he supervised all valuation activity for the Asset Management division. While there he was responsible for detailed asset valuation and financial reporting functions on syndicated real estate investment portfolios.
Prior to joining ConAm Management, Daryl performed mutual fund valuation and financial reporting for the Franklin Templeton Group. While there he was responsible for preparing revenue projections, performing budget analysis, financial statement preparation, and generating the monthly financial packages for management. Mr. Martin is an honors graduate of San Diego State University in Business Administration/Finance and is expecting to graduate with his Masters in Finance in Spring 2005.
