Valuing Brands: Why Quality Matters
In today's global technology environment, intellectual assets are a primary
driver of revenue, profitability and competitive advantage. Intellectual asset
management – understanding your company's intellectual
assets and extracting the most value from them – is
critical to sustaining corporate advantage. Dr. Griffes will present practices
value and increase the value of your intellectual property.
Speaker:
Peter Griffes, Ph.D.
Dr. Griffes has been a practicing economist for nearly twenty years. He
has extensive experience in quantitative economic analysis of issues in policy,
consulting, and litigation contexts. He has built and used economic models
for numerous purposes, including intellectual property valuation for litigation
and transfer pricing purposes. Dr. Griffes has experience estimating
brand values, and has established the value of reputation in product launches. He
has also estimated damages from patent infringement in the computer hardware
and software industries. Dr. Griffes was, most recently a senior manager at
Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, LLP and was a vice president at Analysis
Group and held positions at National Economic Research Associates (NERA), Argonne
National Lab, and the General Accounting Office.
