Licensing Executives Society - Seattle Chapter Speaker Series
Recent Patent Cases and Their Impact on Licensing Strategies
Patent law is changing fast. In addition to pending reform legislation,
the Supreme Court and Federal Circuit have issued major decisions in the last
year affecting the rights of patent holders and licensees. Those decisions,
including the MedImmune decision, impact all owners or potential users of
patent rights.

Ramsey's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and dispute
resolution, with particular emphasis on patent, trademark and trade secret
litigation. He works with clients in various industries in patent and
trademark cases across the country. He has been recognized by Washington
Law & Politics as one of "Washington's Top 40 Intellectual Property
Lawyers" and listed in Chambers USA, “America’s
Leading Intellectual Property Lawyers,” 2005 – 2007 and
in The Best Lawyers in America for more than 10 years. Ramsey frequently
writes for and speaks at legal seminars and is an Adjunct Professor of Patent
and Trade Secret Law at Seattle University.

I-5 Northbound (from Sea-Tac Airport):
Start out going southeast on S Exit Dr. toward Terminal/Parking/Rental
Car Return.
Turn left onto International Blvd.
Take the WA-518 east ramp toward I-405/Renton/I-5.
Merge onto WA-518 east.
Take the I-5 north exit on the left toward Seattle.
Merge onto I-5 north.
Exit onto Seneca Street, which is a left-lane exit (Exit 165).
Merge onto Seneca Street.
After crossing 3rd Avenue, our parking garage entrance is located on
Seneca Street (immediately on
the right).
I-5 Southbound
(between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.):
Take I-5 southbound.
Exit onto Union Street (Exit 165).
Head west on Union Street for approximately four blocks (toward
the water).
At 3rd Avenue, take a left.
Go two blocks to Seneca Street and take a right.
Take an immediate right into our parking garage (on the north side of Seneca
Street) if desired.
From Bellevue:
Westbound SR520
Follow the "From I-5 Southbound" directions.
Westbound I-90
Follow signs for northbound I-5 and exit on Madison Street (on the right
side of the freeway).
Take a left to head west on Madison Street toward the water.
Take a right on 4th Avenue.
Take a left on Seneca Street.
After crossing 3rd Avenue, our parking garage entrance is located immediately
on the right.
Follow the signs to the PSE building and take the PSE building elevator
to the lobby.
Offices are located on the 7th floor.
