The growth in the economic importance of intellectual property has been accompanied
by an increase in the need for credible and supportable IP valuations. This
presentation will address some frequently-encountered purposes for IP valuation,
and explain key valuation terms and concepts. A hypothetical case example
will be used to illustrate a variety of valuation approaches and methods. The
potential use of independent appraisers will also be discussed in the context
of various IP valuation scenarios.
