In January 2003, the Licensing Committee of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) issued a report entitled, "Intellectual Property Licensing Issues in Bankruptcy or Insolvency". Warren Sprigings, one of the founding partners of the law firm of Hitchman & Sprigings, and Chair of IPIC's Licensing Committee, will be presenting highlights from the report including a checklist of issues that should be taken into account when including a provision to address the impact of bankruptcy on a license.
