Nanotechnology is the science of manipulating and controlling the tiniest units of matter, matter that is less than 100 nm. It has been hailed by many as the panacea technology with applications in an array of fields, including: medicine, the environment, communications, and material science. However, is this all hype? What are the realities of the technology. How does one assess it and what are the real opportunities in the field?
Tony Redpath is a senior executive with Primaxis Technology Ventures Inc. He is an advisor to the Canadian NanoBusiness Alliance and has over 25 years experience in high technology start-ups, with a particular focus on the commercialization of university generated technologies.
