Professionals in with an
interest in high technology licensing, technology transfer, and intellectual

SPEAKER INFORMATION:
Maggy Bailly will discuss
comparative law and conflicts of law in licensing deals involving more than one country, and alert
us to issues that
cannot be resolved by a choice of law clause. She will also discuss matters peculiar to drafting, negotiating, and
managing international license agreements.
Ms. Bailly is a renowned
authority on licensing and international contracting. Prior to practicing law solo, she was a
partner for two years
with Black Lowe & Graham, a boutique IP law firm in Seattle. She had joined them after 13 years with the Boeing
Company, where she negotiated
and drafted international aerospace contracts and intellectual property licensing agreements.
Ms. Bailly holds law degrees
from Liege University in Belgium, and Harvard. She taught comparative
law and conflicts of law at Liege University and is presently adjunct professor
at the University of Washington where she teaches Strategic Technology Licensing. She
was the 2002 Honorary Initiate of the Coif at the University of Washington, acknowledging her as "the personification
of the modern global lawyer".
