SPEAKER INFORMATION: Mike Michalyshyn will speak
on licensing due diligence in respect of managing open source technology
transactions. Mike
is General Counsel at QNX Software Systems Ltd., a leading supplier of real time operating system (RTOS) software to the embedded marketplace. Mike
joined QNX after 10 years of private law practice in the IP group of Gowling
Lafleur Henderson in Ottawa, where he focused on technology licensing,
copyright and patent prosecution. He is a Mechanical Engineer (1980)
with an MBA (1986) who was called to the bar in Ontario in 1989 and became a registered patent agent in 1994.
