Licensing Merchandise for the 2010 Winter Games

The Vancouver chapter of the LICENSING EXECUTIVES SOCIETY invites all LES members and friends to a presentation on the role licensed merchandise will play in the upcoming 2010 Winter Games. Linda Harmon will discuss general approaches and procedures to licensing Olympic trademarks. While the Vancouver Organizing Committee has yet to establish a licensing program, Linda will offer her perspective on Olympic brand marketing and sponsorship initiatives to come.

SPEAKER:
Linda Harmon is a marketing consultant who has a wide range of experience in brand development and merchandise licensing for world-class events. She is currently a marketing consultant to the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, in which capacity she develops components of the overall Marketing Plan and works on brand protection, intellectual property management and sponsor cultivation. In the past, Linda has worked in the area of licensing brands and developing sponsorship for a range of Commonwealth and Olympic Games.
