Nanotechnology Committee Mission Statement:
The Mission of the Nanotechnology Committee:
- Provide a forum for education, discussion, and networking for LES members interested in technology transfer and licensing of Nanotechnologies.
- Foster collaboration within the Nanotechnology industry and between this multidisciplinary industry and related fields, such as chemistry, biotechnology, semiconductors, consumer electronics, and etc.
- Investigate and present issues important to the Nanotechnology industry through LES publications and workshop sessions at LES meetings
- Introduce and champion the LES and LES membership to the Nanotechnology community.
The objectives of the Nanotechnology Committee for 2005-2006 are:
- Explore the multidisciplinary nature of the Nanotechnology industry with an emphasis on finding specific areas for collaboration and differentiation
- Investigate the changes and evolution of patenting and licensing strategies employed in the Nanotechnology industry.
- Examine the impact of public policy issues on the Nanotechnology industry, with particular emphasis on international patenting and public funding initiatives
- Develop programming for the LES Meetings (Annual, Spring, and Winter) and recruit speakers for these programs.
