The mission of the Semiconductor Sub-Committee is to:

• Provide a form for education, discussion and networking for all interested LES members concerning the technology transfer and licensing of Semiconductor technology and products
• Exploit the personal experiences of its members, develop and define problems in the technology transfer and licensing of Semiconductor technology and products and seek solutions.
• Disseminate the results of the group’s work within LES via publications and workshop sessions at LES meetings or in special seminars
• To introduce and champion the Licensing Executive Society and LES membership to the Semiconductor community

Current Programming Themes/Tracks

The Semiconductor sub-Committee will be focusing on the following subject matter areas over the next year

• Patent reform
  Views on how proposed changes in US patent law will effect the Semiconductor and High Technology sectors.
• Understanding the Changes in Licensing Philosophy
  Exploring changes in semiconductor licensing philosophies stemming from the high tech crash of 2000
• Case Studies
  Wisdom is gained through experience. Lessons learned from those participating in Semiconductor licensing and tech transfer activities

Proposals for mini-plenaries or workshops along these themes are welcome
