CEMC Tour of Chemical Heritage Foundation

3:00 to 5:00 p.m. (Meet at the Loews at 2:30 p.m.)
The Chemicals, Energy and Materials committee is pleased to announce a special tour of the Chemical Heritage Foundation has been arranged for committee members. Members who have already toured the CHF are raving about it!
The tour will take place in conjunction with the LES/AUTM Spring Meeting in Philadelphia, PA. LES has arranged for transportation to and from the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. The CEMC group will be personally escorted by a CHF tour guide on a complete tour of the facility.
Main points of interest on the tour include:
1. Transmutations: Alchemy in Art Exhibit
2. The Roy G. Neville Historical Chemical Library
3. Historic Book Repository

There will be no admission fee charged for the tour. A transportation fee of $20 per person will be charged for bus transportation to and from the Loews Hotel. Sign up when you register for the meeting on site. Pick up your tickets at the Registration Desk in the Regency Foyer of the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.
USS NEW JERSEY BB-62
BATTLESHIP TOUR
WEDNESDAY, MAY 10, 2006
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $33.00, includes transportation
Visit our most decorated battleship, USS New
Jersey BB-62 for a tour of this lady of the
seas; including the big 16" guns, the bridge
and the Combat Engagement Center. The
ship was launched in 1942 and saw action
in World War II, The Korean Conflict, Vietnam,
and at the onset of the First Gulf War. Our
guide for this tour will be a Navy veteran
who served aboard this ship, LES own Ernie
Posner. The ship is now a museum in
Camden, NJ, just a short drive from our hotel.
A minimum of 3 registrants is needed to
offer this tour.
PHILADELPHIA MUSEUM OF ART:
ANDREW WYETH EXHIBIT

Cost: $30.00, includes transportation
Andrew Wyeth, one of America's most recognized
and beloved artists, is the subject of a
compelling retrospective that takes a fresh
look at seven decades of accomplishment.
Approximately one hundred tempera paintings,
watercolors, and drawings, many from the
personal collection of Andrew and Betsy
Wyeth, will be seen or shown together for
the first time.
A minimum of 15 registrants is needed to
offer this tour.
