PDS Workshops
Each of these Professional Development Series (PDS) Workshops meets
one of the PDS Workshop requirements for the Intermediate-level series.
They are also open to all meeting participants on a space-available basis.
Because class size is limited to 35, both PDS students and other interested
participants are asked to register for this Workshop by marking your choices on the Winter Meeting registration form.

201 (LEGAL) WORKSHOP
Legal Issues in Licensing
Learn the reasonable measures that companies can take to protect trade
secrets. Explore the role of contracts in protecting trade secrets. Find
out what constitutes "misappropriation" of trade secrets and
the legal remedies available. This interactive workshop will help you conduct
audits, educate employees, and structure agreements that protect this valuable
intellectual property.

PDS 204 (ETHICS) WORKSHOP
Ethics in Licensing
This PDS Workshop will focus on the ethical considerations in licensing negotiations and agreements. Based on case study examples, the interactive format will engage participants in discussing facts and ethical principles of particular situations across several industries. Although the content is designed for legal professionals, other licensing executives will find the activities informative as well.
