The State of the Licensing Industry - Report on the LES Foundation'
s Annual Survey and Related Metrics
The LES Foundation, a public service of LES U.S.A. and Canada, was established to advance the understanding of licensing in fostering innovation for a knowledge-based economy. As part of its mission, the Foundation sponsors an annual survey of licensing best practices. The survey questions cover areas such as impediments to licensing deals, lessons learned from completed deals, and an assessment of changes in the volume of licensing transactions underway across various industry sectors. The 2008 survey results will be presented and compared with findings from the prior years' surveys.
