Welcome to Licensing Without Borders

I am pleased to invite you to join us in Chicago for the 2008 Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) Conference, May 4-7. Licensing, and LES, thrives in a world with fewer borders or boundaries to information and collaboration.

LES U.S.A. and Canada has organized an impressive program that addresses timely issues and provides valuable new information for licensing professionals around the world. Today's licensing opportunities exist on a global scale, and LES members are increasingly called upon to develop and manage intellectual property around the world. This makes your global LES network of licensing professionals more valuable than ever.

I look forward to seeing you in Chicago.

LES International

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Licensing Executives Society U.S.A. and Canada (LES), we are delighted to host the 2008 LES International Conference.

The LES International Conference returns to North America at a critical time for global technology and licensing. From fundamental changes in the legal and legislative environment for intellectual property, to the unprecedented importance of intellectual property as a contributor to corporate value, licensing professionals play a vital role in today's information economy.

The 2008 LES International Conference will feature topical programming:

  • the latest developments in licensing legal and business issues
  • the Leaders of Corporate Licensing program, a panel of the key decision makers from some of the most influential technology-driven corporations.
  • industry sector-specific mini-plenary sessions designed to explore marketplace issues in detail
  • the LES Zeitgeist program. Zeitgeist, or "spirit of the time," will highlight timely licensing issues and present a range of views designed to promote discussion among conference participants.

Special Networking Opportunities

  • "LES World's Fair"
  • a trip to Chicago's famous Museum of Science and Industry.
  • a sampling of Chicago's Nightlife-all in one location.

The conference web site, www.lesi2008.org is your source for the latest program information.

We look forward to seeing you in Chicago.
