The International Committee provides a forum for education, discussion, and networking for all interested LES members concerning technology transfer and licensing among and within various countries by

1. serving as a liaison to LESI and actively representing the interests of LES US/Canada in LESI;
   
2. representing LES US/Canada in LESI liaison activities with multinational government agencies such as WIPO, UNIDO, etc.
   
3. working in tandem with the LESI Americas Committee to address licensing and technology transfer issues involving the Americas;
   
4. developing and maintaining relationships with leaders of other LES national societies and other organizations and investigating opportunities to work with other national LES societies;
   
5. providing educational programs for policy makers in other countries and assisting other national LES societies in presentations to policy makers
   
6. organizing, sponsoring, and coordinating presentations and reports on licensing, technology transfer and commercialization in various countries;
   
7. arranging for US/CA speakers to present programs to other LES member societies and LESI meetings
   
8. providing content for annual and seasonal meetings of LES US/Canada
   
9. providing other national LES societies with education and networking opportunities for their members through programs developed by LES US/Canada and speakers from US/Canada;
   
10. recruiting new members from other countries and assisting other national LES societies to increase their membership; and
    
11. providing responses to requests from outside US/Canada for information on opportunities for technology transfer, licensing and commercialization of intellectual property in the US and Canada.
