Catherine Angell Sohn, Pharm.D., C.L.P.

Catherine is responsible GSK Consumer Healthcare’s global business development strategy, overseeing in-licensing, strategic alliances, and M&A. She is a long-standing member of LES, the LES Philadelphia Chapter and is a Certified Licensing Professional. She is currently a member of the LES Healthcare Committee and has been a speaker at prior LES meetings in Florida, Philadelphia and Vancouver.
Catherine has been nominated for the LES (USA & Canada) Board of Trustees.
In addition to 10 years of leadership of GSK’s Consumer Healthcare division’s acquisitions and OTC licensing deals, Cathy has 16 years of experience in GSK’s Pharmaceutical Division, including US Business Development, Medical Affairs and US and Global Pharmaceutical Marketing.
Prior to joining GSK, Cathy was Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy for four years.
A native of California, Cathy received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UCSF, School of Pharmacy, and a Certificate of Professional Development from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Pharmaceutical Executive, the Corporate Executive Board for the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a member of the World Self-Medication Industry Board of Directors, and is Chair of the International Affairs Committee of the Consumer Healthcare Products Association. She has served prior terms on the Health Advisory Board for the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and on the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association’s global Board of Directors. Cathy received the UCSF Distinguished Pharmacy Alumnus of the Year Award in 2000 and the Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association “Woman of the Year” Award in 2003.
