LES Mentoring Committee

"No LES Member Stands Alone"

LES Mentoring Brochure (PDF)

One of the hallmarks of LES is a culture of mentorship in which experienced professionals reach out in friendship and support to those new to LES or new to the licensing profession. For new members, however, it is not always easy to find someone who can explain how the organization works and help them get the most from it. In response, LES has established a Mentoring program with the goal of pairing new LES members interested in learning about our organization and all it has to offer with experienced LES members.

If you are new to LES, the Mentoring program is an opportunity to sign up to be mentored by an "old LES hand". Or if you've been an LES member for some time and have been taken in hand by a fellow LES member in the past, here is your opportunity to give something back by signing up as an LES mentor.

Learn more about the Mentoring program by clicking on any of the following links:

If you are interested in signing up to be either a Mentor or to be Mentored you can do so by accessing and filling in the appropriate form online or downloading the form in Word: If you choose to download the Word form, you may send it to the attention of Christine Mercado in the LES office (703-299-8218, email: mercadoc@les.org). The information provided will be used to pair individuals by industrial sector, professional interest, and/or geographical area, as much as possible.

Please help us make the Mentoring motto, "No LES Member Stands Alone" a reality.

Frank Barnes Mentor Award
The Frank Barnes Award is an annual award given to a deserving executive, who has, like Frank Barnes, mentored many licensing executives. This year's award will be presented at the LES Annual Meeting in October 2005. More information about the award and how to nominate someone.
