  • Carl Amdahl, General Partner, Doll Capital Management. Mr. Amdahl has twenty-five years of experience as a senior executive in the IT industry. During this period, he was a founder of three publicly traded companies, and has participated in raising over $300M in private and public funding.
  • Alexei Andreev, Managing Director, Harris & Harris. Prior to joining Harris & Harris Group, Mr. Andreev was an Associate with Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), a venture capital firm, where he was exclusively focused on nanotechnology and material science investment opportunities.
  • Ken Haas, Abingworth Management, Life Sciences. Mr. Haas has spent 25 years in the management of both early-stage and public high technology and biotechnology companies. He was part of the founding management team at IntelliGenetics, one of the world’s first bioinformatics companies and was CEO of IntelliCorp, a publicly-traded enterprise software company.
  • Bruce W. Jenett, Shareholder, Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe LLP. Mr. Jenett’s practice is focused on the representation of domestic and international high technology business clients, primarily in the life sciences industry. • Erik Straser, General Partner, Mohr Davidow Ventures. While pursuing a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at Stanford, Mr. Straser led an interdisciplinary project between the electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering departments to develop a next-generation monitoring system for critical facilities.

The VC Panel is followed up by “Deal Today, Gone Tomorrow? How IBM Stays Ahead of Changes in the Innovation Marketplace” by David Kappos, Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Intellectual Property Law, IBM Corporation.
